Are you eligible for USDA financing?

USDA loans must meet the following requirements:

  • Home must be a primary residence in a designated rural area
  • Meet minimum property requirements (MPRs), including being structurally sound, functional HVAC, sufficient windows and doors, etc.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Meet Income eligibility by state requirements, which is household income within 115% of the median local household income
  • Have a history of stable income
  • Meet the lenders’ credit score requirement, which is typically 640 or higher, but can be as low as 600
